This policy explains what information we collect through nooz.tv, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and the forms on it.
We collect information you enter into forms on this site. We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers. The specific information depends on which form you use:
Like nearly all websites, our hosting and database providers automatically generate operational logs when you visit. These logs can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested, and timestamps. We use them to keep the site running, diagnose errors, and detect abuse. We do not use this information to build advertising or behavioral profiles.
This is important, so we want to be direct about it. Videos and thumbnails uploaded through this site are stored with our storage provider at web addresses that are not password-protected. Anyone who has the direct link to a file can view it, even before the content is approved and published on the site. Approved NOOZcaster profiles, videos, and related details are published publicly on nooz.tv and may be distributed to the social and search platforms we describe elsewhere on this site. Please do not upload anything you would not want to be publicly accessible.

We keep your information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as we are required to keep it by law. In practice: contact form emails are retained in our support inbox for 24 months; application and referral records are kept for 24 months after a decision is made; account and published content records are kept while your account is active; and records tied to compensation are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner using the contact details below.
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider, database access is restricted by row-level security rules, and access to personal information is limited to people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may decline requests where the law allows — for example, where we must keep records for tax purposes. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Email support@nooz.tv with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and tell us the email address and phone number you used, and whether you want your account, your application, your uploaded video, or all of it removed. We aim to acknowledge requests within 10 business days and complete them within the period required by law. Please note that content already published and distributed to third-party platforms may need to be removed from those platforms separately, and that we may retain a limited record of your request and of transactions we are legally required to keep.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request access to it, to request correction or deletion, to request that we limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request for you.
In the last 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, as those categories are defined by California law: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address); geolocation at the city and state level that you provide yourself; audio and visual information (video you upload); professional information (your content and social platform experience); internet activity limited to operational server logs; and, for people we compensate, the commercial and financial account information needed to pay you. We collect it for the purposes listed in “How We Use Your Information” above and disclose it for business purposes only to the service providers listed above.

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because our providers are based in the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States; where required, such transfers are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be at least 18 years old to apply as a NOOZcaster, to become a Featured Member, to upload video, or to enter into any paid arrangement with us, because these involve payments and contractual obligations. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact support@nooz.tv and we will delete it promptly.
This website links to other sites, and NOOZ content is distributed to social media and video platforms. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and their own privacy policies and cookies will apply once you leave nooz.tv or view our content there. We encourage you to read them.
We may update this policy as the platform develops. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will provide additional notice by email or on the site before the change takes effect.
